All aboard the amphibian adventure ! Yes, you read right but we didn’t hop at the back of a frog or a newt. We hopped on board the iconic scenic AQUADUCK ride, and experienced Gold Coast city on land and water tour in one – how awesome, isn’t ? We wandered and waddled around Gold Coast.
The 1-hour scenic ride started at the heart of Surfers Paradise on Cavill Avenue, then along the Surfers Paradise beach, Main beach. We entered the water through Southport Yacht Club, and of course we entered the water with a splash! From there on our bus became a boat.
We were amazed with the beautiful sight of waterways, amazed on the water activities , boat, yachts, jet skis, wind surfing, another amphibian, the fabulous luxury house and apartments , Marina Mirage, Pallazzo Versace, Seaworld .
This is a family friendly sightseeing tour, children have the opportunity to drive the AQUADUCK and receive a captain’s certificate. Our kids love the experience and it made it extra special.
Aside from the tour we learnt that some of the movies were filmed in Gold Coast like the blockbuster Aquaman, The Chronicles of Narnia: The voyage of the Dawn Treader, Peter Pan and Johnny Depp’s movie Pirates of Caribbean 5 – Dead Men tell no tales, to name a few. We cruised along some luxury houses of the rich and famous like, Jackie Chan’s holiday house.
Overall it was a great family experience !
