Another way to cook calamari is to stuff and bake it. This recipe will highlight the beauty and taste of calamari,  simple yet delicious.

Ingredients

2 medium/large sized fresh calamari, cleaned
1 onion, chopped finely
1 tomatoes, chopped finely
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp calamansi juice or lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped parsley or Spring onions (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat oven 200 degrees celsius.
  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, calamansi or lemon juice, tomatoes, onions, parsley, salt and pepper.
  • Stuff the mixture inside and secure with toothpick.
    •  Do not to over stuff the squid.
  • Baked for 15 – 20 mins.
    • (Note cooking time may vary depending on oven).
  • Serve with  soy sauce and lemon dip.

You may also grill or fry the calamari
